Q. Do you honor major credit cards?
A. We welcome Visa and MasterCard (minimum $10 charge).
Q. Can I pay with my atm card?
A. Only if it carries the Visa or MasterCard logo and can be used like a credit card.There are several private atms in the neighborhood; the nearest bank atm is at the Wells Fargo Bank office in Safeway at Church and Market Streets.
Q. Is there a cover charge?
A. There is never a cover charge at Noc Noc.
Q. Do you have a happy hour?
A. Happy Hour is from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. nightly. All draught pints are $3.00 at Happy Hour.
Q. Is there a dress code?
A.We have no formal dress code, so don’t spend too much time worrying about what to wear. If you’d like to show us your sexiest “let’s-go-clubbing” outfit, we’d love to see it -and we do see some very festive attire on the weekends. But feel free to dress casually.
Q. Is smoking permitted?
A. NO. California law prohibits smoking in virtually all enclosed public spaces. We must ask you to step outside to smoke. Mainly because Big Brother finally caught up with us, but that's another question.
Q. Do you do Tarot readings?
A. No. Our former reader has moved on to other things.
Q. Do you serve food?
A. No. There are lots of places to eat close by, and several are open late. You are welcome to bring in food from one of the neighboring eateries if you are having a drink with us. Vegetarians and Vegans: There are three Indian restaurants within a block. From Naan ’N Chutney (informal and inexpensive) to the Indian Oven haute cuisine—(reservations advised) Carnivores: Memphis Minnie’s is across the street Everyone: Rosamunde Sausage Grill is a few doors down (toward Fillmore) Try the vegan sausage!
Q. Is street parking really that bad?
A. Let’s put it this way: If you drive to the Lower Haight on Friday or Saturday night, and you drop off your friends and drive away to find parking, they’ll probably be starting their second round by the time you get back. Unless the Parking Goddess is exceptionally kind to you. Burn a candle. Better yet, take transit.
Q. Is this a gay bar?
Noc Noc is a neighborhood bar. People of all kinds live in and visit our neighborhood. We welcome everyone.
